It all began with Leela, a life adventure we didn't know we needed and would never have asked for in a million years. And yet, it was exactly what we needed at just the right time.
When we first met Leela we were amazed at how gentle and well behaved she was. Obviously, we have no idea what her life was like before she was found abandoned in a little fishing village on the south coast of Spain but it was fairly certain she had lived with people. Yet, although she was house-trained and gentle, she was also quite scared. The first time we picked up a broom she ran out of the room. Who knows what she remembers?
The vet estimated she was less than a year old when we took her in, barely older now than the six pups it turned out she was carrying. And yet she was, and remains, the most wonderful, playful, energetic and adventurous dog we could have asked for,
