Cycling to Bellacombe from Termignon (2314m)

Never heard of the climb to Bellecombe from Termignon? No, me neither. It was only by chance that we had parked at the motorhome aire in Termignon on our way towards the Col de l'Iseran and Esther saw a sign for some place named Bellacombe which, according to our hiking map, surely involved a decent amount of uphill. Anyway, she decided to try it and it turned out it was a bit of a tough one. There were wonderful rewards for the effort though, with great views into the Vanoise National Park even on an overcast and moody day such as this one. The stats I found online suggest the ascent is 13.1km long at 7.7% average gradient, a climb of over 1000 metres, but according to Esther the road markers indicated it was closer to 15km.

Hope you enjoy the pictures.
